CERIPH
CERIPH is an independently run, biannual print literary magazine from Singapore. Started in 2010 to address the lack of an interdisciplinary platform for emerging writers and artists, we celebrate the everyday through an uninhibited selection of prose, poetry, social commentary, creative non-fiction, photography, illustration, and other experimental forms. As the pages upon which a number of the younger generation of Sing Lit writers have cut their publishing teeth on, we are proud to publish exciting new work as well as to facilitate collaborations between artists and writers across different disciplines, ages, and backgrounds. Crucially, we push the boundaries of literary content and style by representing a wide range of voices that question, subvert, and rework what we know as 'local writing'.

10 × 10
10 × 10: an intergenerational literary equation is a community arts project conceptualised by Ceriph, commissioned by the National Arts Council. 10 youth writers and 10 senior citizens explore each others’ memories and lives—with creative prompts and literary devices woven in—and write together, culminating in a print publication featuring 100 pieces of writing, presented at Silver Arts and the Singapore Writers Festival.

The CERIPH Mentorship Programme
The CERIPH Mentorship Programme seeks to enrich the depth and quality of the writing of selected Singaporean youth. Too often, the art of writing is associated exclusively with the unidentical duplex of poetry and prose. As such, whilst catering for these mainstays, we also broaden our offerings into Creative Non-Fiction and Food-Writing. Our four mentors are talented wordsmiths, each with additional specialities in their chosen field. Expect a mentorship that is devoid of the staid, whilst high on engagement—be it critiquing your writing, sharing industry knowledge, or introducing you to epiphanic authors and titles, salient and obscure as they come. We offer mentees publishing opportunities in Ceriph for Prose and Poetry, POSKOD for Creative Non-Fiction, and Singapore Tatler online for Food-Writing.

白马非马 | When A White Horse Is Not A Horse
Nuggets of Chinese philosophy are unconsciously ingrained in the daily lives of many Chinese. Ren is called upon when we are asked to make decisions that take into account the feelings of others, ahead of ourselves. Dao is a way of life, a wisdom to live with the effortless flow of wu wei. When A White Horse Is Not A Horse takes inspiration from facets of Chinese philosophy as the basis for a literary workshop, with three leading Chinese poets and writers as guest speakers. Commissioned by the National Arts Council.
